Ex-AJK PM joins PPP



A delegation from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), led by former AJK prime minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas on Wednesday officially joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari at Zardari House, Karachi.

The delegation included adviser to the AJK government on Prisons Sardar Ahmad Saghir, MLA Ali Shan Soni, and Sardar Umar Tanveer, a press statement issued by the President House Press Wing said.

During the meeting, the delegation announced their decision to join the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). President Asif Ali Zardari welcomed the delegation and congratulated them on joining the party.
