Parliamentary Motion Tabled to Suspend Iran’s Cooperation with IAEA – Nuclear news

During an open session of the Parliament on Wednesday, the MPs unanimously carried a motion to consider a report from the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission about the suspension of the Iranian administration’s cooperation with the UN nuclear agency.

The initiators of the motion have described their frenzied reaction as a proportional response to IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi whose biased report against Iran paved the way for a resolution that subsequently encouraged the Israeli regime to launch a war of aggression on Iran and also prompted the US to bomb three main nuclear sites of Iran in Isfahan, Fordow and Natanz.

Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf took a swipe at the UN nuclear agency for its refusal to condemn, even verbally, the strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

He said the IAEA has ruined its international credibility.

Qalibaf stated that the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran will be suspending its cooperation with the IAEA until the safety of Iran’s nuclear facilities are not guaranteed.

“Iran’s peaceful nuclear program will make headway more quickly,” the Parliament speaker stated.
