The Pakistan Navy has successfully concluded a two-day exercise aimed at countering sub-conventional and asymmetric threats at all major ports and harbours across the country, according to a statement issued by Pakistan Navy.

The drills were designed to test and refine tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to ensure robust defence of critical maritime infrastructure in the face of evolving threats.

The exercise involved coordinated operations by the Pakistan Navy Fleet, Pakistan Marines, Special Service Group (Navy), and Naval Aviation units. Scenarios included sabotage, infiltration, and unconventional attacks, with the goal of enhancing inter-agency coordination, situational awareness, and rapid response capability.

Commander Coast Rear Admiral Faisal Amin visited operational sites during the exercises and observed live-action simulations. He commended the participants for their high level of preparedness and professionalism.

“Secure functioning of ports and harbours is directly linked to national economic stability and growth,” said Rear Admiral Amin, emphasising the strategic importance of maritime installations.

The Pakistan Navy reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a high state of operational readiness and to bolstering its capacity to defend maritime borders against emerging security challenges.
