A man assaulted a motorcyclist Monday near Ittehad Commercial area in Defence Phase 6, Karachi, after the rider apparently abruptly applied brakes.

The incident, which took place near the Ittehad Commercial area, escalated after the motorcyclist allegedly applied his brakes abruptly, causing the man to lash out in anger.

The sister of the motorcyclist pleaded for an apology at the scene, but her requests were ignored, Express News reported.

A video of the incident circulated on social media, showing the man slapping the motorcyclist without apparent provocation.

In addition to the physical attack, both the motorcyclist and his sister faced verbal humiliation, with the motorcyclist repeatedly apologising to no avail.

The assailant continued his actions despite their pleas, further degrading the victim.

According to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South, the police have identified the suspect responsible for the assault. Efforts are underway to locate him as police have raided his office, which is currently closed.

The SSP also confirmed that the family had not yet filed an official complaint, though he stated the search for the family continued, with raids being conducted at various locations to apprehend the suspect.
