Bushra Bibi’s no-show irks judge

RAWALPINDI:

Proceedings in the Toshakhana case were adjourned until June 3 after Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, failed to appear before the court.

The hearing, presided over by Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand, was held on Saturday at Adiala Jail.

While Imran Khan was produced before the court, Bushra Bibi opted not to attend in protest, citing the authorities’ refusal to allow her a meeting with her husband earlier on Tuesday.

Despite waiting for four hours, the court did not see Bushra Bibi appear in the courtroom, drawing the judge’s ire.
