Moist currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, along with a westernly wave, will bring widespread rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds to areas like Murree, Galliyat, Dera Ghazi Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Kashmir.
Landslides are a significant concern in vulnerable hilly areas and the government has advised residents in these regions to avoid traveling through risky routes.
The weather conditions could also damage weak structures, including kacha houses, electric poles and vehicles.
The forecast predicts continued rainfall, gusty winds, and thunderstorms across several districts on Thursday and Friday, with isolated heavy falls expected.
The weather department urges people to stay alert, as the weather may disrupt daily life and cause significant damage in the affected areas.

On Friday, partly cloudy weather is expected to prevail in most districts. However, rain, wind, and thunderstorms with gusty winds are forecasted for several regions, including Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Khairpur, Dadu, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Hyderabad, and Karachi. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in these areas during the period.
In the past 24 hours, rain and thundershowers were reported in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Islamabad, and Kashmir, with heavyfalls in several areas such as Malam Jabba (70mm) and Kasur (63mm).
The hottest recorded temperatures were 46°C in Dalbandin and 45°C in several other cities, with very humid conditions prevailing in the majority of the country.
