Iran Has No Intention of Confronting Neighbors: President – Politics news

In a telephone conversation with Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said on Tuesday, Pezeshkian described the division of Islamic countries as a sinister plot hatched by the Zionist regime and the United States.

The president said he believes this conspiracy will not succeed due to the wisdom of the leaders in the West Asia region.

The regional leaders can create a region filled with progress, tranquility, and peace, free from war and conflict through cooperation, he added.

Pezeshkian also lauded Oman’s clear positions and supports in the pursuit of establishing peace and tranquility in the region. He stated that Iran considers all neighboring countries and Islamic nations as its brothers and has no intention of confrontation or conflict with them, his official website reported.

The president also noted that direct US intervention in the military aggression of the Zionist regime forced Iran to respond to this crime. He added that Iran was compelled to respond to the US, and he explained this to Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani during their conversation.

He further stated that Iran will not compromise on its rights, adding that the people of Iran will never forget the solidarity and support of their brothers in Oman in this pursuit and hope to benefit from their assistance in the future.

The Sultan, for his part, said that Oman is fully aware that Iran had no intention of attacking Qatar. He noted that the Omani officials are confident that their brother Sheikh Tamim understands this well.

Oman and other brothers in the region support the Islamic Republic’s efforts to uphold the rights of the Iranian people, he added.
